The Heart Institute of Venice, located in Venice, Sarasota, Bradenton, and Ellenton, Florida, serves all of Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties. The Heart Institute of Venice is an independently owned cardiology practice that has been providing affordable, convenient health care since 2005. Medical director Barry Weckesser, MD, works closely with Amy Kinter, NP, to offer specialized cardiovascular imaging, testing, and treatment from their accredited facilities.

Dr. Weckesser has delivered noninvasive cardiac care in Venice for over 30 years and had the first cardiology practice to meet the latest standards laid down by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Nuclear Medicine Laboratories (ICANL) for nuclear, vascular, and echocardiogram labs.

The diagnostic and treatment monitoring services available at The Heart Institute of Venice include nuclear stress testing, echocardiography, walking electrocardiography (EKG), pulse oximetry, echo-Doppler, telemetry, and Holter monitoring.
