Cason's Equipment was founded by Thomas Cason III in 1974. Tom Sr. was the sole proprietor and employee for many years, and started the business as a saw blade, chain and tool sharpening business. I spent many hours at the shope's with Tom Sr. as a child and learned the work ethic and determination it takes to be successful in small business. In 1986, I joined Tom Sr. and began to manage and grow the sales and service sides of the company.

In 2004, my wife Laura and I purchased the business when Tom Sr. retired. In the years to follow, we expanded our facility and our staff to over 30 people. As a result of our combined efforts over the years, we are pleased to offer our customers one of the finest outdoor power equipment facilities in New England, offering top name brands and service on most manufacturers of landscape equipment and home standby generators. Our 26,000 square foot facility can accommodate the largest commercial equipment to the smallest residential units.

In 2001, we entered the home standby generator market when severe winter weather nearly paralyzed the region. We were able to provide cities, towns, and individuals with generators for both emergency and regular usage. We have continued to explore new options for our home standby generator division as consumers recognize the benefits of protecting their homes and businesses from the long winters, ice storms, grid failures, and power outages of our region.

Since 2008, we have expanded our generator installation division on multiple occasions. In November of 2021, Cason's Equipment acquired customers and staff from Emergency Power Generators of New England. This gave Cason's Equipment over 60 years of combined experience in both plumbing and electrical fields, and over 30 years of combined experience in generator repair and maintenance.

We have experienced strong growth over the years in the standby generator division and now find ourselves as one of the industry leaders in the area. Mainta
