La Fédération Nationale FNTI existe depuis 1983 et est représentative au niveau national et défend la profession taxi dans les grandes villes et dans les zones rurales. La FNTI est active pour garantir son évolution et s'adapter aux nouvelles exigences. Son siège est à Lyon et elle est impliquée tant au niveau national, régional que départemental. La FNTI compte à ce jour de nombreux départements affiliés
